Landscape and our relationship to it grows more tenuous with each season. Since we are completely dependent on the landscape for our sustainability, I am interested in mirroring that relationship through art as a metaphor for our coexistence. Dissipation and the horizon line play key roles in these works as we enter a period of transition for our species and our planet. In the intaglio monoprints, landscape is brought literally into the prints using found materials, such as leaves, Styrofoam, discarded paper products, vines, tree bark, soil, and other materials. Their forms became embedded into the surface of the paper during the transfer process.
